Unclaimed deposits

Deposits that have not been operated for ten years or more are transferred to the Depositor Education and Awareness (DEA) Fund of the Reserve Bank of India. You or your legal heirs can still claim them at any time.

How to claim

  1. Visit the branch where the account was held, with your KYC documents.
  2. Legal heirs should bring the death certificate and proof of legal heirship.
  3. The bank will verify the claim and pay the amount with applicable interest.

You can also search for unclaimed deposits across banks on RBI's UDGAM portal.

The list of unclaimed deposit accounts of the bank will be published here.
